DellEMC and TechFieldDay will get us #PoweredUp

As we all still struggle with the COVID-19 pandemic, lots of events found their ways into the virtual realms. TechFieldDay is one of the events that really made sure to build the virtual event in a way that is on par with the physical ones. Sure there is some things that are not as good as be in the USA with all the delegates coming together for a couple of days to hear from the presenters and have a great time, but this is one of those virtual events that makes virtual great again 😛

In the next couple of days TFDx will hear from DellEMC about the Power portfolio. The topics are going to be on the following Power topics:

  • PowerStore
  • PowerScale
  • PowerProtect
  • Cloud
  • And High-End/Software Defined Storage

PowerStore is a unified storage platform which provides block, file and vVol capabilities to the DellEMC customers. With Scale-up and Scale-out capabilities this solutions is one of the technologies presented during TFDx that I’m really looking forward to.

PowerScale is a new (but more of an upgrade of some awesome technology) storage solution from DellEMC focused on the unstructured Data world. Both available for the Datacenter as well as edge location. The servers are running the newest version of the well-known OneFS Operating System that has been the OS of the Isilon portfolio for some time now.

PowerProtect is a hard- and software offering from DellEMC that offers data protection, replication and reusage of data to the customer. The software offers integration with the VMware and DellEMC Cloud Disaster recovery platform and provides integration with SaaS solutions as well.

We also have sessions on Cloud Solutions and High-End/SDS based storage solutions but I’m not yet sure what this will be about, so you’ll just have to tune in to see what that is all about.

Make sure to visit the Tech Field Day website (https://www.techfieldday.com)  to join the event live, as well as more information on the presentors and delegates of this event. Also make sure to visit the Dell Technologies website if you want more information on the products that are mentioned in this post and during the event.

Last but not least here is the first TECHunplugged videocast focused on this event:
